It's not like we got a lot going on with the Broncos. So far things are not going great for me. Costa Rica (Moms country) is getting Killed, Australia (Wife's country) got killed. At least we got a win loss tie for the USA.

Yes, but that draw was about as good as the win they got in 94 when Colombia scored an own goal and the US won. They lost the remainder of their games that year. I don't look for great success from this squad. They may beat Iran, but England will win that group. They may even go on to win it all. -

I was working and had the France game on. Had to look every 30 seconds as the French had so many chances they could have scored twice as much. A clinic. I hope they don't win again for the third time in recent years because I'd like other fan bases get the glory of winning. Spain looked good as well, will see what Brazil has on Thursday.

I'm not watching it. It makes no sense to have a World Cup hosted by an authoritarian monarchy like Qatar. If the other countries really want to stand for human rights, freedom of press, etc they should withdraw from this event.Comment

I've seen hockey games finish 0-0 yet be exciting.....lots of hits, fast back and forth action, tons of shots but goalies making amazing saves. But here we have 0-0 with a grand total of 4 shots on goal combined in 90 minutes. Soccer is absolute crap.Comment

England's 6-2 win over Iran let England be conservative vs the USA. They were playing for the draw. They got the point from the draw to keep the group lead, and they already had a 4 goal difference. Now they would have to lose by 4 to Wales to fail to advance out of this group.Comment

I enjoy watching paint dry more than any FIFA/soccer broadcast. Nothing against soccer fans. I respect the conditioning and athletic abilities of the players, but have never been able to get excited about the sport.
It seems ass backwards: Why let games end in a tie? Why not single or double elimination?

The US played miles better in their second game against England. I was proud of them.
If you guys want to see some really good football this year, Watch Arsenal play or Manchester City or Liverpool. The quality is amazing.
