  • Hackett is finally giving up playcalling

Unbelievable that it took this long.

Wow -- Hackett wouldn't have given up play calling duties voluntarily, so this is coming either from Paton or from ownership. I definitely don't see him surviving beyond this year now, barring a miraculous hot streak and playoff berth.

Let's hope this works out as well as the last time a Kubiak was calling plays for the Broncos.

If this is successful, it might actually save his job.

this is how it should have been day one- focus on HC duties, if you want to call plays in a few years after being well seasoned, great.

It would have been nice to see this with a much healthier roster, game 1

Let's hope Kubiak has a better feel for what Russ does well.

We need to run the ball well and set up those PA Boots off of it, we also need to run some up tempo offense regularly instead of just towards the end of each half

This will also be the 1st game action for Compton and hopefully Flemming is back at RT, so let's hope that we don't have to see Bailey or Wattenberg on the field today.

Why does Hackett still have a job? What are his responsibilities? He’s not a leader of men. He’s a putz.

Good. If we score over 20 we win.

              Sadly, you were correct.

Interesting, not surprising, that it falls to Kubiak. Just underscores how worthless Outten must be.

Outten is a waste of a coordinator position. Adds absolutely nothing to the team.

First he had to hire Rosberg to tell him how to make basic HC decisions. Now he had to give up playcalling.

theres not one reason he should keep his job. Not one. He not an HC and needs to be fired.

There are literally four chances for Hackett to survive - they are all the remaining Division games. Regardless of how poorly he’s done, if Hacketts team can find a way to beat the Chiefs, he could save his job. Not that I’m advocating that, but I’m presenting it as a real possibility.

John Harbaugh doesn't call plays and he hired Rosburg first for the same job.

Let's see what happens. I'm assuming they'll still suck on offense.

If you're in Vegas, throw down a few on the Broncos today before the line changes too much.

Though I guess you can be at home and do the same thing ... I think I'll do it.

We'll see. The line: Broncos favored by 2.5

Why do you have to be in Vegas? A rule of thumb is if you are betting the week of the game you are too late.

a 'bold move' the article says. It was a bold move to do nothing for the last two months in the face of total offensive suckitude.

This is like saying wait and see how Tebow works out cause Manning had a bad rookie year.

hackett is not even close to Harbaugh. Not even Harbaughs rookie year. Harbaugh made those decisions before he started his first game.

Agree, but with this dumpster fire of an O-line that’s easier said than done.

I am 100% sure that it's an order from Paton.
                        Hackett doesn't have a clue.

Last chance to save both of their jobs.

I’d feel a little more confident if the offense wasn’t missing so many players.

It won't matter unless Wilson plays from under center.

Remember Outten wasn't even his first choice. It was supposed to be Luke Getsy.
