  • We have a pick! Who to draft 2023 version

Guess who’s bizack with an ounce of crizack! Now that we have a 1st round pick I guess we can get semi excited for the next draft.

I don’t watch college too often but I’m curious for those who do watch, who are some of the players that could be on the broncos radar? What position should Paton target? Do you think trading down is a good idea if the pick lands in the 20s.

personally I hope denver goes OL. If not OL then BPA at any position (Outside of QB). Hopefully we get lucky and a player could slip to us. How strong is this draft class anyway?

It'd be nuts. I think this is going to be a pretty solid OL class.

This mock draft is absurd because PFN is sleeping on many players in their rankings. Not to mention I moved from 20 to 27 and got a current second, future second, and wound up getting more Day 3 ammo.

If Paton pulled something close to this off I'd be stoked. Drafting 4 OL not realistic, but I wasn't ****ing around. I want brutes on the OL who beat the shit out of people. These guys hit the mark.

You will be trading it to the Saints for Payton.

That simulator is crazy. Every time I did one Anthony Richardson was a 1st round pick and Hendon Hooker was a 3rd or 4th round pick.

I wouldn't be mad at Joey Porter Jr in the 1st but I have a feeling Pittsburgh might like him enough to take him in the 1st.

I'm looking at another Penn State player though in OT Fashanu but if we trade downto the 2nd maybe Darnell Wright from Tennessee.

Wypler and Dennis are great picks another CB I like that might be available in the 3rd is Kyu Kelly.

With the offensive line depth we should definitely trade down and take at least 3 O Lineman, RT , C and a guy like Steve Avila that can play C, both guard spots and RT. Id even consider 3 straight O Lineman to start the draft even if we don't trade down. Fashanu in the 1st, Wypler and Avila in the 3rd depending on free agency.

O'cyrus Torrence is the name to watch. I expect the top 4 OTs to be off the board by the time we pick. I also hope we can snag one of these FA RTs in the off season and even if we don't I think Torrance has the size, length and athleticism to play out at RT.

If you haven't watched Torrance play he's dominant enough to warrant a 1st round pick. Ricky Stromberg in the 3rd would be nice too.

An O Line of Bolles, Torrance, Stromberg, Belly, Conklin

That would be a serious improvement over what we've had in a long time

Broncos don't have a shot at Skoronski unless he gets a felony or has 12" arms.

lol, yeah. I just want the Broncos to get an OT, and the more that are on the board the better.

Hooker will be 25 when the draft come around and projected a less athletic Ridder (ATL) . Richardson is 21 and has amazing physical capabilities, team will bet they can fix his footwork and with experience they can turn him into Josh Allen kinda QB .

I think it has more to do with the torn ACL Hooker suffered. He's a much better QB than Richardson. Richardson is more athletic but doesn't have the arm talent that Stroud, Young, Levis and Hooker do.

Richardson does have the prototypical size and elite athleticism so someone might be willing to take him early and try to fix him.

The QB I’m interested in is the Fresno State guy, he’s undersized but the guy just wins and leads a team, can move around pretty well, throws very well under pressure.

Reminds me of Russell Wilson when he was at Wisconsin and ended up getting drafted in the mid rounds. I think obviously the Broncos have way too many needs to consider him.

Have you watched any of Jaren Hall from BYU. I thought the same thing when I watched him. We should definitely consider a QB in rounds 4-6

I would love hall in the 4-5 round as a backup. Injuries are a concern. I hope he comes back though. He has the arm and has great athleticism.

Blake Freeland is who you should have your eye on though from BYU at OT. Probably a 2nd rounder. Great athlete and size. Good pass blocker. I think he's played some RT in the past, but mostly LT

Hall had a good bowl game, great season. Has he announced his NFL draft status? Puka Nucua is another BYU guy to watch out for, just makes plays.

Hall didn't play in the bowl game. He hasn't announced anything yet

FWIW, I think taking a Day 3 shot in the dark at a developmental QB is a great idea.

New coaches? Get a young guy in there who can start learning the system Day 1. Especially if it's a coach like Frank Reich.

We all saw what happened with Trey Lance in San Francisco. Been hurt. Brock Purdy comes in and can manage the offense. Wasn't he Mr. Irrelevant?

Would be a smart move for the franchise, regardless of Wilson's future, to do so — and certainly doesn't preclude them from going all-in on a '24 prospect if Wilson is sub-par next season.

I think they should draft a quarterback every year. There’s a chance of hitting on a diamond in the rough. For most teams, a decent backup quarterback is needed at some point in the season.

Last year on the Bootleg Football podcast the guy that runs the Shrine Bowl said that Haener and Ridder both had the starting NFL QB vibe. They owned the locker room and players wanted to follow them. That good sign for him.

Changing system/scheme kills a franchise. If they are going to shit can Hackett I hope they keep the principles of his system to help the team move forward.
