    Denver Broncos 2023 NFL Draft picks

    1st-round (from 49ers via Dolphins)
    3rd-round
    3rd-round (from Colts)
    4th-round
    5th-round
    7th-round (from Vikings)

    That is 6 picks for the upcoming draft. Correct me if I’m wrong but Paton likes to have 7-9 picks for a draft. So another move in the off-season is likely or Paton trades down in the first (if possible) since we aren’t projected to get any comp picks.

    Have no idea what it actually is with all the late-round pick swaps and conditional trades.

    A few websites are saying no fifth, but a sixth. Or no seventh, but a sixth, etc. Weird.

    Pretty sure Denver has Pittsburgh's sixth-round selection for Malik Reed.

    Thought they packaged him with a seventh to get that.

      Swap of picks for Reed i think. No net gain.

    I don't mind 6th if we had a lot of 1-3 picks. So 49ers need to suck will be our ultimate goal after our own doing.

                    I wonder if Jeudy is Harbaugh's kind of receiver? If not then could see him traded for a pick. Doesn't he like guys that can block at the WR position? Yeah its going to be Harbaugh unless he can resists trucks full of cash.

                      Anyone that can't/won't find a role for Jeudy shouldn't be hired. I'm not saying Jeudy is worth a long term contract, but for a one year rental (contract year, no less) his skillset and ability to get open on every type of route is undeniable. If you are sticking with Russ, who loves his deep ball, Jeudy showed just how deadly he could be if used properly. Some guys you just don't game plan into contact, you use their illusiveness. Thats obviously what you get with Jeudy.

                      Its the same brain power for using a true pass-catching TE. You don't line them up against the other teams strength (make them block premium pass rushers inline) - you make the defense react to their skillset (make the defense drop back in nickel and dime). We need a coach that harnesses strengths and has the capability to lean in - that is what has made the Reid/Mahomes combination so deadly.

                      I agree with Juedy as being an asset that you don't misuse by telling him to block to fit your scheme. This is another reason why I don't think it's Harbaugh.

                      Harbaugh would come in and not give a damn who was on the roster, how much they are paid or what round they were drafted in. That plays for a team embarking on a total rebuild. It is not a fit for tyring to fix the 250 million dollar QB or trying to utilize Juedy as a blocker. Wal Mart wants the few football assetts they actually have, and have invested in, to pay off.

                        I think zerovolt is afraid the broncos might land Harbaugh and actually start to compete with the chiefs again.

                        No....I've already been vocal...more than most DENVER fans, that the Broncos are going to be competitive next year. ....not scared of that....With a competent coach, I think Russ can play decent at QB....and that Denver can compete for a playoff spot. If Harbaugh is the coach, Denver will compete, If it's Quinn, I think they will too.

                      Yes, agreed. The new coach gets Jeudy for a one year rental. If Jeudy continues where he left off this year, he stays; and then we ship Sutton or Patrick off for a pick. If he doesn’t then yeah, we have something else to argue about.

                            Someone is going to pay that, but I just have a feeling it won’t be us. Harbaugh 1st. Payton #2 w/ picks. After them, it just depends. What I do know is it won’t be Shaw as HC.

                              They say Bennett IV is a probable 3rd day guy. If so, grab him! He can be the back up 3-4 yrs for all I care, but have some development potential. He also would fit the smash mouth football style that the new coach I hope implements for Russ. He’s a winner with drive, I like him.

                                Four of the broncos picks are high enough in the rounds that they should be able to trade down some and pick up extra picks while still having a good draft.

                                  The only pick I would trade down from is the 1st. Pick up some picks like 40 and 80 to move down.

                                  Not really about the draft but what are the odds we tag and trade Dremont for D Hop.

                                  D Hop will be 31 next year and is under contract until 2025. He would immediately be our Home WR and give Russ an elite WR core with 2 TEs that can stretch the seam.

                                    0%. Hopkins cap hit is 30.75 mil, dead cap of 22.6 mil for the Cards. You would have to work out one hell of an extension with him to lower the cap hit and probably have to restructure or cut Bolles to make it work.

                                    Imagine the broncos having all their weapons for one freaking game.

                                    Dudes got freak accident hurt but will return.

                                    What we need is linemen.
                                    Best T Or C that falls.
                                    then grab the other and a guard in Rnd 3.

                                    If we trade the 49erds pick for Payton.
                                    Move the process down one pick and still get linemen.

                                    Can't win if the Hobbit gets smashed by a giant.
