So, in a recent interview, Roger Goodell sat down and explained that the reason the Broncos were punished so severely for last year for the covid issues was because security footage had shown the Four QBs leave their tracers in the corner of the room, and then meet in the center of the room to watch film together. The QBs were trying to game the protocols, hence the severity of the punishment.
And, honestly, something just smells off about this narative. If this was truly the reason for the punishment, why didn't Goodell or the NFL announce it last year at the time of the infraction. If some ruling prohibited him from discussing punishment then, why is he free to do so now. The timing of this just trips my BS sensors.
