  • WR's are a huge problem.

So I'm trying to rewatch the game. The one HUGE thing that is standing out is our WR's. If the pass is not absolutly perfect they won't catch it. To compound the problem even when they are on the mark they won't catch them. Suttons Non TD penalty, although I don't see how it's fiscally possible to miss a guy hanging off the back of his jersey , it's not the reason he didn't catch it. It still hit him in the hands in the end zone.

The play calling is horrible. I'm not sure what happened here from game one to now but it's completely different and it's not good.

Mcmanus is paid way to much to miss FG's and extra points like he has this year.

We can keep going on problems but our WR's just are not going for it. It's sad really. Someone needs to step up and rolls some heads.

Looked like the defender knocked the ball out of Sutton's hands but was definitely PI

Oh. This reminds me of the posts I made about Paton signing up Patrick and Sutton for GREAT DEALS! I said at the time you signed two 700 yard Wrs for 700 yard Wr money.

          Sutton can’t run…loser player, glorified tight end…

Patrick is slightly above average, nothing to get excited about.

Sutton got PI'ed on the front...in the back and had his hands held all while the DB was not looking for the ball.

As big as he is, make a play…figure it out, instead he just gets owned…

Sad thing is they might've called it on a 12 yard attempt to get the 1st down.

On two hail mary heaves to the endzone? A lot less likely to get calls.

I wouldn't be sad if Sutton and JJ were shipped off. Meck (the real one) puts up facebook posts every week before the games. This week he talked about how Rod and Eddy were great blocking WR's. He said Patrick is a great blocking WR but didn't think the others were.

Then I saw a play, I believe it was a 3rd down and long (hard to keep all of them straight) where the WR's actually tried to run a pick play on a crossing sissors style route and they nearly ran into each other so much so that it impacted their routes. It is basic shit like this that they cannot execute and the coaches are either not teaching or they are not getting to them to work on the fundamentals.

The WR's can complain about the QB's all they want but if they aren't running the right routes or catching contested balls they should shut up and work extra on film and running routes on their own. There are also issues with spacing downfield making it easier for the D to defend. A lot of their troubles are self inflicted.

Not once yesterday do I remember Hackett calling a boot, they boot Wilson more than they did Rypien. Poor coaching leads to poor execution.

                  We need a real OC.

This is a glaring difference between the Broncos and pretty much every other game I've seen this year. No effort catches at all. I've seen our scrub TEs and maybe Hinton lay out here and there but our main receivers are soft as shit. Bring up some hungry practice squad guys who'll make an effort.

IMO both Jalen Virgil and Brandon Johnson should be active on game day going forward. With the season over, it's time to evaluate for next year and we have to know what they can do. Special teams suck with or without Tyrie Cleveland and he is useless on offense, put him on the practice squad or get rid of him. Trade either Jeudy or Hamler, send Hinton back to PS... There's a lot of ways to find room for Virgil and Johnson.

Seems so obvious, sorry the Broncos are smarter than “us” fans.

Yep, Jeudy and Sutton think the can just run their fly routes and have the ball land softly in their hands in stride. Instead, they need to know if they are being blanketed and go up and high point the ball and make the catch. Don't worry about YAC, just make the catch by going up and snatching it. Also an effective way to draw PI by going thru defenders to get the ball or use your body to shield them off. Wish either of them had Hinton's heart.

Best catch of the year is by our FB. That just shouldn't happen. Beck snagged a one handed stretchy out catch in the Seattle game.

Sutton isn't the same WR as he was prior to his injuries and Jeudy is a complete bust. With Patrick hurt we have nothing at WR. This group needs a complete overhaul. Oh, and the online stinks also.

The thing is they both have proven they can do it . They just aren't . Someone needs to bench them or go all TB on them and I hate to give Tom Nancy any credit. However when his line wasn't playing he went over and let them know it. We have no leadership on this team.

Sutton just doesn't explode into the air like he used to. He's done as a number 1 WR in the NFL.

I’m having trouble understanding why they called those Hail Marys there to be honest. Call a damn Hail Mary with less than 10 seconds going down the field, not when all you need is a few yards for a first down!

Plus, even if they hit on it and score a TD. You give the ball back to the Jets with over two minutes to go. Entire playbook is open to get 30 yards for a game winning FG as time expires. And they had two minute warning to think about it. Sad.

I’ve been crapped on for a long time for calling him a possession receiver with some jump ball ability. He is your classic #2. Jeudy is your classic slot receiver. Elway drafted two slot receivers, back to back

The worse part is that is should have worked. No other #1 in the league misses that. Sad but true.

I didn’t like it at all especially after the previous GM drafted two WRs back to back which displayed another level of stupidity but that’s a different conversation.

I think this WRs room just needs to be burnt down and rebuilt but oh wait we don’t have the draft capital to do so.

We can trade them all along with Chubb who is another overrated injury prone risk playing on a contract year. Gee no wonder he’s slightly above average right now but None of these players will yield anything higher than a 5th round pick.

Melvin Gordon who seems more honest than Nathaniel Hackett may get the team a cheap bag of airplane peanuts, so at least Paton won’t go hungry while he ponders his next **** up!
