An inexperienced coach that does nothing but flap his gums about execution. How does a team execute better? I think they execute better by doing all the little things like having seven on seven drills during training camp, like playing starters in actual preseason games.

The fans on this board were happy about that contract when it was signed. Everyone thought it was SMART to get out ahead of the market before Lamar did his pending deal. And same as the trade announcemnt thread....ALMOST everyone was super hyped about it.

That said. Fans are not paid to get this stuff right. Paton is. Paton failed to lure Rodgers. In failing at that, the bait he hired as coach is a failure, and now he's failed with the trade of resources for a sub par QB, and he failed when he signed that QB to a big extension. that is A LOT of fail.

Having to watch the team you traded with, look SUPER SMART by offloading their bad QB, have their lifelong journeyman QB look awesome...and THEY have your 1st and 2nd wich are just moving up higher and higher to help them draft high end talent that you need. FAIL.

I don't see how the ownership group looks at any of this and thinks its tenable to continue beyond 2022 with anyone associated with this disaster.

But you have to wonder, how many coaches will the ownership go through before they start to think it's RW that might be the issue? The sad note is that RW is here until his contract expires. The dead money that they would have to eat is massive until 2025. One can only hope RW figures it out before then.....

If not for the Texans being in tank mode, the Seahawks might have had a legit reason to hope for the 1/1. As it is, 1/2 is is acheivable! The 2nd overall Pick...that will UNDOUBTEDLY be someones franchise QB....but not the Broncos. incredible.

What a mess for the new ownership group to handle. As much as there is a burning rage among the fanbase and Paton deserves to be fired, changing GMs won't make Wilson go away. Besides, the new owners signed off on Wilson's contract. Tough situation.
