I don't think so. PRP is a newer procedure that is more specialized. I think there are different types. They may even do a procedure to use his own platelets. I wouldn't be surprised if the team docs don't do it.

The excuse is being set up. He'll be shutting it down for the season soon. Bank on it.

It could also be he just wanted to get out of town.

Watched a video with a specialist that said the right move is benching him until the bye week. He said Wilson will be compromised the rest of the season even with injections. I’m hoping the LA doc is advising correctly.

If he shuts it down for the season, this entire year would be a failure of cataclysmic proportions. Not that we aren't headed in that direction as it is, but seeing him hold a clipboard in Week 18 while they talk about how Seattle is going to get the #1-5 pick in the draft would be so disheartening

Is our back up still Rypien? Frankly, he's played well when he's come in. I think we'd have a respectable season if he started.

We still got both Rypien and Johnson

Because WPG/Broncos would’ve charged him 248 million dollars for the procedure.

Some sort of AIDS in his throwing arm. Looks like it could be career-ending stuff.

The fact he was cleared by this dumb ass coaching staff to play in a Thursday game just shows more usual incompetence.

if the bad play is blamed on an injury…..then that’s a sign he shouldn’t have even played.

Yeah, I don’t think the injury is fully to blame since he wasn’t playing well enough even before the injury. But I do think it was definitely a factor. And he probably told the coaches that he was okay to play so not sure how much you can blame the coaches.

They had the info that it was a torn lat. it was a short week after a Sunday late game….the smart decision would’ve been to sit him until chargers. They didn’t need a great QB performance against colts. Just competence. They could’ve schemed Rypien into managing but they didn’t. They chose a busted Wilson…..then called for him to pass in the redzone multiple times.

it’s pure dysfunction across the board.

Yeah, probably played him at least partly due to desperation. That and perhaps RW demanding to play.

Because depending on the type of PRP you need special centrifuges to spin and then collect the supernatant. You don’t just draw some blood load her up and shoot it. Centrifuges are hella expensive and pretty much a unitasker. Doubt the Broncos have one or at least the RIGHT one for this application

There is no positive way to look at/spin this.... either he sucks and is washed and you paid 250 million and assets to get the guy...OR he's injured and injury prone and can't play well, AND you still paid 250 million and assets to get the guy.

It's a bad situation. The mistake isn't even really the trade...that's a honest attempt to fix the QB spot...the massive error is the contract extension. (I understand this isn't an original take...many see it this way)

Calling him “injury prone” is a little silly. He hasn’t missed many games due to injury in his career. Tom Brady missed almost a whole season when he had a knee injury. Is he injury prone?

The desean Watson trade even in hindsight looks a bargain compared to getting duped into trading for Russ

Tweeting about God and sloganeering and selling RW gear and visiting hospitals all don’t mean anything unless you win…..and sadly, springing your junk on women who don’t want your junk sprung on them, won’t matter if Watson is winning.

This team despite bad coaching would be a deep playoff contender with Watson. Would be set for a decade.

too many easily offended in this fanbase though. Even though they hold Rod Smith to high standards. Instead we will get to watch the Browns become competitive for the next decade. Broncos taking the browns place at the bottom of the AFC.

Watson is definitely better than Wilson but I don’t know that this is true.

                                        2-3 with only 6 TDs.

Watson would have the broncos scoring into the 20s. With this defense that’s several wins. Watson can keep up with Mahomes and Herbert.

I could see a playoff win if it was Watson. Now I’m talking 2023 cause he wouldn’t be playing this year. Multiple years before he even hits 30. His production was top 5 level. Like freakish stats

“That’s why I’m ready to make the argument that Deshaun Watson was not only the best quarterback of 2020, but also that he had the best season of the past 15 years — and maybe ever.“

people didn’t watch him. He was insane.

We’d be better with Watson for sure but I don’t think this team has the talent to beat good teams consistently, particularly with all the injuries.
