  • Ok so, which coach did you all want?

Wasn't posting here back then. Which coach were you all calling for?

Just curious. I am imagining that some of you were excited with Hackett with the Rodgers red hot rumors happening.

Anyway, who did you all want?

          The thing with Sean Payton..
I try to figure out the distinct difference in records between him and Mike McCarthy.

Wonder what we would have said after the 3rd straight 7 and 9 season a few years ago even with the production of Brees. Which were 5,000 yard seasons in each of the 7 and 9 seasons I believe.

So,, other than him, and I think he is in direct line for the Chargers job, who else?

Remember successfully SB winning HC from one team have never won SB at another team. It's better to go with "young" HC.

It is very early. Right now the staff remind me a lot of cincinnati bengals staff of 4 years ago. Very young staff that looked like a dumpster fire early on. They got better as they brought in some experience positions coaches. The Defense has the old guys helping out, the offense doesn't

Yes - and Taylor was on the hot seat until he suddenly became a good coach when, coincidentally, Burrow became healthy and was playing again. It would help if Wilson could step it up here. Most young coaches who last have a QB that is masking most of their shortcomings and inexperience. I honestly have no idea how good LaFleur actually is, he's got Rodgers.

Probably Harbaugh, but I knew that wasn't happening. I was fine with Hackett.

                Me too.
                Harbaugh was my dream choice.
Hackett was my "wait out of those guys?" choice.

                I still say it's RW3 that's killing us though.

Looking back, the list was very underwhelming, but what can you expect when the Broncos were awful with no confirmed owners?

Eric Bieniemy - Chiefs offensive coordinator
Brian Callahan - Bengals offensive coordinator
Jonathan Gannon - Eagles defensive coordinator
Luke Getsy - Packers quarterbacks coach/passing game coordinator
Aaron Glenn - Lions defensive coordinator
Nathaniel Hackett - Packers offensive coordinator
Jerod Mayo - Patriots inside linebackers coach
Kellen Moore - Cowboys offensive coordinator
Kevin O'Connell - Rams offensive coordinator
Dan Quinn - Cowboys defensive coordinator

Nothing from the Patriots. It's obvious it wasn't the Patriot way but the Brady way and Belichick is Belishit without him.

I didn't have any opinion on the matter at the time, but I can say now, that you definetely got the right one. nailed it.

Without starting a whole new troll thread about it...I'll just put this here -

As a Chiefs fan, I could not have concieved or hoped or wished for a scenario as incredible as the one playing out right now. The best I ever could have hoped for was that Wilson and Rodgers would not end up in Denver and you'd be rolling along with Drew Lock or maybe by now, Desmond Ridder or something, and trying to build up a team able to be a wild card contender with your new coach and new GM.

Trading for a QB who is not only washed up, but also works HARD to contrive and image to the point of rehersing a slogan and how to high five poeple....I didn't see it coming....not to this extent. I pointed out some potential issues, but never thought anything like this.

I also could not have forseen Denver, at the same time, hiring a headcoach as woefully inept, as completely overmatched, and one who lacks as much charisma etc as the one you hired.

And lastly, as a bonus, the cherry on top.....you sign the QB to a contract extension, that if he were a top 10 QB, would be a good contract, but as is....with him playing as a bottom 10 QB (or worse) ...is absolutely CRIPPLING.

I would laugh, but it's so stunning and shocking, I can't bring myself to do that...it's more like awe...just looking at it from afar...I can't believe it's happening.

Your draft capital is sparse, your salary cap is wrecked. Your coach looks like a one legged cat trying to bury turds on a frozen pond.

I am geninely worried that frustrations will become apathy and so many will step away......and it will ruin the annual OM Mock Draft due to a lack of interested participants. I hope it doesn't come to that, but I am legitamately worried about it.

                      Did not want Quinn.

O’Connell. They interviewed 10 people. 9 of which would’ve been better.

it was right there under everyone’s nose.

james and I usually have the same takes. Not all the time. But sometimes.

I don’t know if I posted specifically. I thought Hackett was a good choice at the time. I didn’t think it was possible to have a worse offense with him and Russ. But it is.

At the time I thought Quinn made the most sense. I expect him to be the HC here next year with Brian Schotteheimer as OC.

I would’ve been happy with Mike Munchak For the fact that he has had coaching experience. I am very happy with the defensive side of the ball and Evero and his staff but I’m just sick to my stomach with his no experience offensive staff. It seems like Nathaniel hackett is playing Madden football and just calling whatever play he thinks will work.

no we can make all the ridiculous jokes about Josh McDaniels that we want but he is a far better play caller, just saying. Also an Nathaniel Harket is taking on way too much. He can’t run this football team, manage a game, and call plays on offense. He’s doing far too much than he’s qualified to do right now somethings got a change George Payton needs to take notice to this.

One thing that may be screwing everything up is the fact that Russell Wilson has his own quarterback coach is telling him what to do. He’s not waiting for a plays to develope he’s just checking the ball down whenever he can and I get it he needs better protection but still he’s making 230 million he needs to make plays Like a quarterback that is making 230 million should make.

Also Russell Wilson’s foot work is all screwed up and out of whack. He can’t get the ball to where it needs to be because he’s not planting his feet on every pass. Call me crazy but I think that comes down to coaching and the fact that he has his own quarterbacks coach probably isn’t helping him very much. We don’t have Gary Kubiak but we have his son and I’m going to say he might know a little bit about about the quarterback position.

If things say the same I could see Evero taking over as head coach next season.

I've wanted Jim Harbaugh since he left Stanford. Now, he's done for Michigan what he did for Stanford. (Stanford is now smoking wreckage, btw)

Yah, Harbaugh has finally gotten the Wolverines on a consistent winning path. It only took him like 10 years or so? As for the Broncos next HC, it might be a little too early to talk about that kind of stuff. I think Paton hired Hackett hoping that this would be the carrot that would lead A. Rogers to the Broncos. Well, it didn't work. Sooo who do I want as the Broncos next HC you ask?

Bring Mike Shanahan out of retirement, bring in Wade Phillips as DC, and bring back McCoy as OC. Have Mike and McCoy design an offense around R. Wilson's strengths, and go for another SB. Paton, of course, stays on as GM and let him bring in all the players...

                                  winning...

Wanted someone with previous HC experience and to avoid 1st time candidates who benefited from elite players.

                                    1. Pederson
                                    2. Quinn
