  • team is soft, I’m done for a while

I’ve been a diehard Broncos fan since I was a kid. I travel to denver every year for games. I buy jerseys and shirts and hats. I’ve seen great bronco teams and really bad bronco teams. This team actually has talent.

but this is by far the softest bronco team I have ever seen. The team has taken the personality of its head coach. Soft

hackett needs to go immediately. He’d rather work on his stand up comedy then actually call a good game. Paton hired Rodgers drinking buddy to lure him. Failed miserably. You get the star player first. Not some coach you normally wouldn’t hire

Broncos are easily 4-1 right now if they even had the 20th best offense. I’ve seen enough. Fire Hackett. I’m not watching another game or spending another $ on this team until he’s out. My tickets are up for sale. **** em

if it's Fangio with this team, we would win 4-1 or 3-2.
Hackett is not a good coach. He never had credentials to begin with(never called plays in GB).
Very surprised that Paton hired him.

Still shocked that we lost the game(unable to forget what we did on 3rd and 4).

He’s called plays for 2 other teams so it’s not his first time calling plays

But His personality is also an issue. He is not a leader

Welcome to my side of the wagon.

I warned ya this was coming. That was the most pathetic football I’ve ever seen.

        it’s getting worse each game.

It's not just Hackett's goofy personality. It's Hackett's personality paired with Russell Wilson's cheesy, non-assertive personality that compounds the issue. There's a leadership vacuum management to players.

Imagine if they didn’t give Wilson a mega deal and let it play out

Far better off if they never got Wilson…would mean 4 highly drafted players and likely a decent position for you next franchise QB.

you better hope the chargers win the division. Cause if it’s the chiefs you guys will keep posting irrational takes in the chiefs sucks thread to even MORE chiefs fans that will show up here.

chiefs winning the division so many years in a row isn’t a good look….and if you’re pushing for the chargers not to win it….then that’s a vote for the chiefs.

Don’t give me this shit broncos can still win it.

most broncos fans here will be cheering for Chargers to win it over the chiefs…..don’t believe me? Put a poll up.

As bad as Wilson has looked, I think there is still the possibility for high level play. Simply the offense. Move the pocket. Get him under the center in goal-line situations. It's not helping that the skill position players are basically Sutton (a solid 2 WR) and a bunch of jags.

I do NOT understand why we don't move the pocket more. They did it more than in the other games last night, but when it mattered the most we went shotgun with Gordon in the backfield (because he can pass block). The problem is, the Colts knew we were not going to hand the ball to him with the game on the line. It was so dumb. They just sat back in a hybrid man/zone and made our smaller QB have to look over the line and make reads. The entire stadium knew we weren't handing the ball off to Gordon.
I would have run it with #25 and let him sink or swim for his NFL career.

I don't think the team is "soft" so much as they are totally disorganized, from the top to the bottom. It's a cluster****.

Hackett wasn’t hired for Rodgers. There were no trade discussions with Green Bay after the 2021 draft. Rodgers camp continued to use Denver as leverage.

The biggest issue is the culture rot in the organization. The same organization that passed on Josh Allen and turned away Kyle Shanahan for Vance Joseph after the great Kubiak went down.

Joe Ellis/executives wanted to get away from the Shanny tentacles on this organization. Some fans on the Mane, like Wolfe agreed with that decision.

No easy way out of this, but firing Hackett isn’t the immediate answer and something Russ is not onboard for considering they spent hours and hours together. I believe they had a long meeting after the game.

As I said last night, Russ’s issue is trust. He’s not trusting the personnel outside of Sutton. TE room is bad. WR room looks overrated, OL is trash and injured, same with the RB room.

Bottom line is, there’s no silver bullet or obvious answer. Those guys got to figure it out.

He doesn’t trust the personnel, guys like DK and Lockett had a big catch radius. Drissly was reliable, OL was marginal at best, RBs were ok.

Come over to Denver and receivers are running bad routes, drop passes and Sutton is the only consistent one. Guys like Hamler and Jeudy are all over the map. TE room is trash. Russ also needs to make better decisions, he kept testing Gilmore but again he doesn’t trust many guys on the team.
