Things are different here, wolf. I am not going to ban you and give you what you want to fulfill your weird, martyr complex. Realizing you’re deliberately being a dick and feeling totally okay with it is your choice. It says more about you than anything I could do to you.

I mean, my suggestion is to not deliberately be a dick. But you do you.

Defense is awesome. we are losing because of Hackett(especially on offense).
He is trying to be cute which is unecessary

Stearns and Justin Simmons the best homegrown safety tandem since Steve Atwater and Dennis Smith?

They just barely beat out Rahim Moore and Quinton Carter. 😉

                          Good pick Paton

I’d be comfortable with trading Justin Simmons for picks and riding with sterns

this defense is pretty good. Not good enough to carry the team, but good enough if your offense knows how to score TD's

What? No! Simmons is a Bronco for life, dude. One of the best players (on and off the field) that we've ever had. Third best safety in the organization's history, with a chance to move up to #2 with another good season or two.

Kareem Jackson's in his last season -- the Simmons / Sterns combo will reign supreme from 2023 to 2027.

I think Simmons is a little overrated but still pro bowl caliber. Only reason I mention trading him is because we have little draft picks for 2023 and we could probably at least get a second rounder for him

What if the Broncos got a Jamal Adams type return for Justin Simmons? 🤔

                                    Wasn't that two first-round selections and a future third-round selection? 🤯

It’d be a good way to make up for the blunder of the Wilson trade. Nobody will ever trade that for a safety again though

It'd be very tough to turn that down, but I agree with Tangerine saying it would be very unlikely.

Unfortunately, Denver doesn't have a bunch of solid players worthy of much in a trade outside of Simmons.

I'd wager there are probably five to seven names that George Paton would consider non-tradable, but virtually everyone else would be up for grabs. Don't really see a scenario where they shouldn't be sellers by the end of the trading deadline.

Might as well take what you can get if there isn't any interest in offering an extension to those potential players.

Simmons is a foundational player. He's not going anywhere else. Ever.

No one should be off the table. Simmons is nearing 30 years old and the typical DB decline will start in a few years. The broncos are not going to be competitive in the next year or so. By the time they are Simmons will be into his 30s.

if a team calls every single player should be considered.

                                              sell sell sell.

Trading Simmons? Shades of "we had to destroy the village in order to save it"!

Have to look beyond the short term. This team needs to start a true 3 year rebuild with a new GM. If Paton is gone and doesn’t have control over the next draft I would trade anyone if a team puts something good up. No way I’d turn down 2 1sts for Simmons. No one will put up 2 though. I’d take a 2nd and 3rd rounder though.

Only guy I’d say is off the table is Patrick Surtain. He’s a top 5 CB already in only his 2nd season

also Simmons is nearing his 30s yes but safety’s can easily play into their 30s. Not like Simmons relies on 4.3 speed to be good
