Do I want them to? Yes. Will it happen? No. I think they'll drop the next three and he'll get shit-canned during the bye week.

The fans were leaving the stands before the game was decided. I doubt the new owners are going to accept that.

Hackett is literally the worst head coach I have ever seen... and that's saying something after living through McDaniels, Joseph, and Fangio. Even Rich Kotite and Bruce Coslet would be a step up.

New ownership will hopefully be the saving grace of this shitshow. Just imagine if it was still the Battling Bowlens and Joe Ellis running things? We would have four more years of Hackett (and Paton) to look forward to. I think Hackett is gone after this season at the latest... unless he somehow miraculously learns how not to be a moron in like the next two weeks.

Not this week although it wouldn’t break my heart. If they lose out going into the bye or even if they have a bad looking 3-5 and scrape by the Jets I think it could be on the table. Which is insane but feels justified. At minimum this team should be 4-1 even with the horrendous offense. They could have given themselves time to figure shit out but now they’re already in the hole.

Evero might be Hackett’s best friend but if he plays his cards right he could get a HC job here. Not saying it’s the most likely scenario, but what if he takes over for two months and they look like a more competent team, he shows some of the stable HC qualities you’re looking for and his defense continues to perform against better competition? He needs to get off the Hackett train and build off his work 🚂

Maybe they could move Jerry Rosburg into the temporary HC slot?

The problem with a lot of these older assistants that get suggested like Rosburg and Capers is they did not sign up for the grind of being an NFL HC taking the jobs they have. I think the smart play is give Evero a shot and see if he’s got “it”. He’s gonna get an opportunity eventually and there’s no downside for the team in this situation, it’s a lost year.

Can you fire a first time head coach that is 2-3 and give the job to the first time DC? I think Paton should do SOMETHING, but I think it'll be considered uncouth to first a first time head coach 5 games into a season that he's actually only a game under .500.

It should come from Hackett. He should give up playcalling because that certainly isn't working. You have Russel Wilson at QB, the offense shouldn't be this bad, even if Russ isn't as good as everyone thought he'd be.

                    RW3 is lost as ****.
                    He's faking it.
He doesn't know which WR is 1st in his progression.

You don't call a rub route that opens up z to look at y the whole time when you need one yard.

RW3 is not playing the scheme. He's just running around and chucking the ball like he's in a playground game.

To your point Coyote, I really believe he threw that pick to Cleveland because Sutton had come out of the game and Russ just didn't register it. He goes that way thinking Sutton is there and throws a bad ball.

Evero would be an ideal interim but it’ll most like be Hacketts babysitter that’ll be taking over and that’ll cause even more of a shit show.

I don’t know if anybody was paying attention tonight when KJ hamler was interviewed post game but he said that nobody knows what’s going on behind the scenes and nobody knows what Russell Wilson is dealing with then he went on to say he won’t speak any more on the subject but if I had to guess, I think it’s a Nathaniel Hackett babysitter overruling not only Hackett but Russell Wilson in game time situation as well..

Could be wrong because I see they’re still running this ****ing shotgun bullshit in the redzone.

I think Hamler was referring to Wilson's shoulder injury in the previous game, actually. Doesn't excuse the poor decisions he made throughout the game, though.

relax guys, it takes time for a new coach to gel with a team, He probably has an extensive highly complex playbook the players are still learning.

                          Yep. RW3 is the problem.
                          Hackett messed up enough.

I don’t see how the new owners will keep him around after this year at this pace. It would be a clean break and makes a lot of sense…but who do you target? Saints will ant a first which we prob can’t afford.

That’s the problem. Denver thought they were getting a Mercedes Benz, when in reality they got a VW bug.

I’m the GM and asking who called the 3rd and 4 at the 13.

if it was Hackett i’m firing today because he has no game awareness

FG wins that game 99% of the time

Yes.. I thought we won the game.. just run the ball. it's not hard.
Hackett can't even do the basics.
Fans leaving the close game shows the quality of the the product.

So instead of making adjustments to the playbook you continue to push complex plays that don’t work in the redzone?

just another reason to fire this clown.

Wilson cannot execute ANY plays in the redzone….so naturally Hackett keeps putting the ball in his hands with stupid shotgun formations when you only need one yard.

this is a trainwreck that will go on all year long.

and the worst part about it seattle will benefit the most with Denver’s high draft picks.

That makes a lot of sense and might be the only way to try and put out the dumpster fire and stabilize the franchise. Fire Hackett. Make Evero the interim. Give Kubiak's kid a shot to completely revamp the offense.
