This thread was going to be made sooner or later.
As of today (week 4 2022 have all been played and Denver is about to play the Colts on TNF) I believe BOTH Paton and Hackett are finished at years end.
Playing things out to their logical conclusion - Hackett has been a disaster - And by extension, Paton, for hiring him.
Something to consider regarding Paton (the GM, not Sean) ....as things are, Paton sits atop the football heirarchy. Who thinks Wal-Mart wants it to remain that way?......where the GM would ultimately make the call to fire Hackett and hire another coach? They aren't going to let a guy who they had no hand in selecting, have that much power and control of their football team.
Hackett and Paton will be out.
Wal - Mart will write whatever check it takes to get Sean Payton in, and Sean will hire his own GM that reports to him.
I will take 3 separate 100 dollar bets on Sean Payton being Denvers head coach game 1 of the 2023 season.
