Paytons rights still owned by New Orleans....you'd have to trade for him. ....Not sure Denver would want to expend more draft captial and reset at this point....plus you probably don't have what NO would want....probalby at least a 2nd. -

Not sure that Sean Payton is the answer. He likes to keep QBs in the pocket. That just isn’t Russell Wilson. Hackett doesn’t want him running. In fact, after Russ’ run late in the 3rd he looked to Hackett and motioned to feed him. Hackett gave him the calm down/slow down signal.
I have some crazy stories about the stuff going on in Denver right now. Some of it is not surprising… some of it is pretty absurd for a professional organization.Comment

Peyton started out at 2-3 or 2-2 before that San Diego miracle comeback game. Russ/Hackett wasn’t the issue in this loss. It was missed tackles and the soft as charmin defense giving up 200 yards rushing. Not good.Comment

There seems to be consensus that the best adjective to describe Hackett is "goofy" I'm trying to think of SB winning coaches where that is the first characteristic that comes to mind. I can't of think of a single one.Comment

I've mentioned many times since he was hired....his antics will wear thin quickly if you aren't winning...AND if you aren't winning, a "goofy" coach who needs to chew some asses and instill some discipline and toughness...is not going to be able to convince his players that tough and disciplined is who he is. Hackett hasn’t lost the locker room. When they hit 3-7 or so players will lose interest then that’s when the locker room is lost. We watched this movie with Fangio and VJ….
Hackett will be fired at years end if Paton wants to save his job.
If people think Paton is willing to give an HC that had to hire a crutch to do HIS job 2 weeks into the season another year…..then that’s another example of what I’m pointing out in my homer thread….
no way Paton does that if this is a 5-7 win season. 8 wins May save Hackett for one more year. Anything under and Paton will be fired after next year by keeping hackett for 2023.Comment

If Hackett is as bad as some are saying, now tell me how you feel about the GM who hired him. The same GM who didn't do enough to address the OL and ILB issues which were primary reasons why the Broncos lost today.Comment
