I want both. We have Jeudy & Hamler on rookie deals. Paton needs to find a way to get both.

Pay Sutton. Tag Patrick.
or visa versa...
Those fellas are both too good to let go.
Imagine Rodgers with both plus JJ &KJ...
And Williams Rushing.

You don’t want to let go of your high quality, high character players. Many WRs are divas, not these two.Comment

A tag of one and extension of the other is probably the only viable way it gets done. I can't imagine George Paton going out and spending decent coin on multi-year extensions for both. Seems like there would be too big of a market to make it remotely affordable despite the cap space Denver has.Comment

Pay Patrick tag Sutton IMO. Patrick has shown to be just as productive but far more durable. He should get paid and it won’t be some massive deal Sutton will command.
WR is one of the easiest positions to hit on in drafts….but these dudes are legit.
imagine their production if they actually had a QB and OC.Comment

With no QB, WRs will not take any team friendly. If they sign with a team with no QB(denver) they will want to maximize their deal to the fullest.Comment

You only get guys like Chris Harris to take lowball deals when you’re a loaded team with a Hall of Fame quarterback.Comment

Guys like Corey Davis, Nelson Agholor, Tyler Boyd and Curtis Samuel are getting $10.75M-$12.5M a year for similar production and target share. The length of their deals vary (two to four years), but basically all of them guarantee the first two years.
I'd expect something quite similar for Patrick.

Paton values signing our own guys. I have confidence he will get it done. Don’t want to make the next Shaq Barrett mistake. We have the cap, get it done.Comment

Diggs is/will be all pro… Patrick lit him up. But ya Patrick should benefit with Sutton on the other side. Shurmur and Teddy needs to exploit when they can. Fant would draw attention if he was actually any good.

We have Jeudy on 2 more years rookie and then 5th year option. Get creative and give Sutton & Tim Pat 3 year deals with 3rd year voidable. If we have these 3 WRs WBs are going to like it.Comment

Who demands what coverage isn't that relevant.
Whatever the case, Patrick has found a way to succeed and is boasting a catch-rate close to 75-percent with 80-percent of all catches going for first downs. He has been clutch and is winning a hefty majority of individual match-ups when targeted.
Patrick probably isn't ever going to be the feature WR in any team's offense, but right now is proving he can be a quality contributor getting ~ 80 to 100 targets over the course of a season. He is playing the best football of his career and stepped up big time with Jeudy sidelined. Every team needs a reliable target who is money for first-downs and doesn't drop the ball.
He is going to get a nice deal. He deserves it.

3 year deal for Patrick. 5 year deal for Sutton. Sutton won't have a big hit until about year 3-4. The 3rd year would be really tough with all 3 of them, but after that you probably have to let Patrick go, restructure, or maybe trade one of the 3. You can then sign Jeudy to a deal that isn't as high in years 1-2 for the last 2 years of the Sutton deal. The key will be having good drafts so that you can replace veterans at other positions with guys on rookie deals. It may also depend on if Paton can find a gem WR late in the draft in the coming years. He's going to draft 1-2 every year, but probably won't use day 1-2 picks on them for a while.Comment

We're going to lose one of them. Personally I'd prefer keep Patrick. Sutton takes plays off while Patrick goes hard every play and catches everything near him.
It depends on which receiver the team values more, because the secondary receiver is going to get a lower offer that another team will beat.Comment
