  • Sandy Clough leaving radio

Announced on 104.3 the Fan Sandy Clough is stepping away from the microphone. As a long time host of Bronco talk after games Clough was often combative with listeners.

I think Clough is/was the best interviewer among Denver radio talk show hosts. He was better when his show had lots of guest interviews and a good co-host. On his own he sometimes had some strange takes.

Good for him. Congrats on the retirement, Sandy.

Congrats…. The first time I listened to Sandy was after the Broncos lost SB22 to the redskins on KOA. Holy cow was that a brutal post game interaction with the callers. LOL

I called him a couple of times just to get him rattled so he would yell at me.

        He'll be missed.

Is he retiring? Or is it health?

Even he saw what aHACK we have, knew there was no point in sticking around for his tenure

Come on, wolf. Don’t make me do it. What’s the point?

He is as worthless as the other team trolls. He doesn't even try to bring takes or valid arguments.

Sandy was always very entertaining. I'm going to miss him.

That said, I still have to get in a jab. I remember back early in the '81 season - I think it may have been after a 13-10 loss to Seattle - (though it could have been the preseason) he was complaining about Denver's lack of talent at WR and went so far as to say that Steve Watson was not an NFL caliber talent.

Watson went on to earn all-pro honors that year.

              Hey, no one's perfect.

Best luck to Sandy in whatever he chooses to do from here on out.

GIVE IT A REST, YOU JERK!

(That’s what Sandy would have said, back in the day.)

I always got bored with the History Lessons. I did appreciate him replying back to my messages. Congrats on the retirement

Despite his good insight & knowledge, I think Sandy was probably hard to get along with. He often butted in and cut off his co-hosts way too often. I remember him getting into a shouting match with Orlando Franklin that was all Sandy’s doings. They went to commercial break, and Sandy had to apologize on air.

The problem is he doesn’t like to have a partner, but is way too much unchecked opinion to go solo. Congrats, though!

I remember after the 2015 season he (like most the people here too😂) predicted the team would be better because Semian was more mobile than manning for kubes outdated offense.. stop listening that day, totally wrote that idiot off.

It is an interesting coincidence that Sandy Clough decided to retire after arguably the biggest coaching blunder in Broncos recent history. I think it's weird for him to leave radio after the first week of the regular season instead of doing it in the offseason.

I wonder if he offended anyone at dove valley.

literally nobody listens to denver radio. Clough has had a beef with elway for years and its barely a ripple. Clough is a powerless douche.

I always thought that if your public persona was to be a combative, pompous ass you should be right more often that Sandy was.

Clough was great that he could last as long as he did acting like a football forum poster.

And Tyler Polumbus announced on twitter today he was leaving The Fan 104.3 (his contract is up). I liked Tyler's "former player" perspective.
