On Friday, the House passed a bipartisan infrastructure bill which will invest in critical infrastructure across America, including roads, bridges, public transit, and airports. The GOP’s response? A concerted effort to strip the 13 House Republicans who voted for the bill of their committee assignments. Meanwhile, right-wing Rep. Paul Gosar has so far faced no consequences for tweeting an anime video depicting him killing Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Welcome to today's Republican Party, folks. Voting to rebuild America's crumbling infrastructure will get you stripped of your committee assignments but advocating for violence against your colleagues is just fine. There is no compromising with this.
