    Sooooo, anyway.

Hence the reason I say stats are bikinis.

What they reveal is suggestive, what they conceal is the real story.

That needs to be graded on a curve. Apply the Geno Smith coefficient and watch our defensive ranking tumble! 😆

The only stat that counts right now is 0-1.

Well we did march down the whole field 3 times in a row only to get 3 points.
Broncos win if they score TD instead of fumble on 4th and goal with Gordon.
Broncos win if they kicked a pooch kick there as well.
Broncos win if they score a TD on the Williams fumble.
Broncos win if they score a FG on that series.
Broncos win if they let Russ go for it on the last series. Dude has more 4th Qtr comebacks than almost everyone in the league.

            We'll get it sorted

Damn straight. His mistakes are recognized and admitted. That's how one grows. He's got a good Football mind once he gets past the new to the stage Rookie learning, he'll be fine.

Watch and see. This is going to be the best Broncos QB & Coach duo since Manning and Kubiak/Wade.

We also only lost to a non conference opponent.
LV has a division loss already and by next week one of KC or LA will have a division loss too. It's a hard division. But we lost to the one team that matters the least to our chances. By the end of next weekend we will be in second place in the division with no conference losses.

Denver, granted, lost a non con game and if you are losing a game, the best one to lose is out of conference. That said, with the division and conference being tough, this was a win you simply had to have. Favored by 7 on the road…one of the easiest games you have on paper. This one needed to go in the W column badly if you are hoping to make the post season. It’s a brutal loss from that standpoint

At least they shit their shorts early, on the road, non conference… to be in the show, you have to beat the better teams… that game should, should, smack the staff in mouth that they need to get their shit together…

The rankings in offense and defense don't surprise me. If Denver scores those TDs instead of fumbles, it's 30-17. If Denver doesn't commit all those penalties to keep the Seahawks drives alive, then they don't even get 17. It could have easily been a blowout. Instead it was a mess of mistakes from players and a new coach playing together for the first time. They should have first played together in the preseason to iron out those mistakes.

And what if Seattle doesn't drop two gift-wrapped INTs? What if Jeudy's underthrown TD is batted down or picked off? What if Geno doesn't slip and fail to pick up 4th and inches? What if they don't fumble? What if that holding penalty that erased a nice gain and killed the drive didn't happen?

Seattle fans can say the same thing. If they'd cleaned up everything, with nothing changing on Denver's end, they could have won comfortably.

Also, stfu…. Dropped INTs happen every game. The Broncos were literally an inch off from like 4 different TDs, even the hated field goal was only like a yard off. This was one of the most bizarre games I’d ever watched.

For those panicking, the Texans are dead last in total defense, and their coach is a defensive guy. They are 31st in passing defense, and 27th in rushing defense. This is against the mighty Matt Ryan. They had a 20-3 lead after the 3rd, and gave up 17 unanswered points in the 4th, and ended the game they should've won in a tie.

They won their 1st game last year also in a blowout to the jagwads, and then promptly came down to earth by losing their next 8 games. They are not a good team folks, and they are a mess of an organization. 1st week openers always have weird things happen every year.

Russell Wilson & Hackett will carve them up. They both were embarrassed in the loss on MNF, so they will make this game their personal vendetta game to save face somewhat. The only reason I can see that maybe it gets a little too tight is if Evero once again waits way too long to adjust. But by the 3rd Q we should be in complete control.

Total yards isn’t a good way to rank offenses and defenses.

QBs throw the ball directly to a DB with no one else close in every game? He flat out should have been picked off multiple times, and that TD to Jeudy doesn't happen 90% of the time. Also, a QB isn't often going to slip and fail to pick up the first on 4th and inches. There was good luck and bad luck.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but on one of those goal line fumbles, it was going to be a turnover on downs whether the ball popped loose or not. So, in essence, each team had a fumble and a turnover on downs near the goal line. Yet you guys act like there was a huge turnover disparity.

Seattle will likely be near the very bottom of the league offensively and defensively. Even an average team should expect to put up yards on them and keep their offense in check.

Even with Teddy and inept offensive coaching last year, the Broncos beat the bad teams on the schedule by an average of 29-9. Now you're encouraged by moving the ball against a bad team? Don't you expect a little more from Hackett and Mr Unlimited?

I think most of us can understand the significant impact the 12th man had on the game. Lots of emotions. Lots of firsts. This games not even close if played in Denver. With that said, how we lost was a disgrace. Our new HC panicked.

Why? Did KC lose to a terrible team or something? I saw a win.

Would've been a Charger boat race if not for Patrick's continued lottery luck with INTs.

Not to mention Mahomer refs bailing him out with legendarily bad PI calls.

Seems like a pretty objective analysis. Must've been all that help from the refs who called twice as many penalties on the Chiefs, among multiple others that were declined.

And yea, when I think of Mahomes in recent years, "lottery luck with INTs" is sure what comes to mind. It was sure lucky that over half his INTs last year were accurate passes bobbled by the receiver directly into the hands of a DB. Including the play that ended their season. What fantastic luck!
