He looked and sounded like a guy who was in the middle of a panic attack. My son made the comment that he sounded like he was going to break down crying. It was unnerving.

What do we have here?
He’s probably more pissed about the loss than all of us combined. Rightfully so. He made a seasons worth of mistakes in one game.
Well, he is in one of those few professions where if you look like an incompetent boob, everyone knows it. Twitter is ripping him apart after that showing, even more so than the usual Twitter fest over bad public performances. Nevermind the absurdly bad coaching performance... people are debating the over/under on how long before he misses a game because he has accidentally locked himself in the equipment room.

A nice guy who didn't make any of his starters work during the off-season. We went 180 from meat head Oklahoma drill Fangio to this shit.
Fangio was a meathead. He wasn't trying to be his players best friends. If he had a QB, (and probably a better OC than Shurmur would help too) he'd still be your coach.
I always thought it was a little off to heap praise on Hackett for things like playing music at practice....I distinctly remember the OM thinking that when VJ did it, it was weaksauce. I think it was embraced from Hackett because Fangio was seen as a neanderthal, with some bad pub from former players heaped on him.
I also thought the reports from the hiring process for Hackett for a bit odd. Do you guys remember that? They kept talking about all the palling around Hackett and Paton were doing all over town.
That's all well and good....people get hired like this all the time....I'm just not real sure the interview process for your head football coach ought to have any basis on what a fun drinking pal the guy is.
Hackett gave his critics- the fans & sports talk radio- a lot of ammo for this week. Most are complaining over his bad call to take the ball out of his QB’s hands, but the sloppy play is really what did them in. They played down to the level you would expect from a team that hasn’t played together a lick this entire preseason.
There are some positives though, 433 yds to 253 in a hostile environment. Good thing there are 16 games to go, so they can tighten their shit up. Way too many mistakes.
During the game, I think Aikman mentioned that the Broncos didn't practice silent count snaps during the week, but instead planned to use audible snap counts... in Seattle.... with Russell Wilson coming back home?
I’m still mad at Evero. His defense made Geno look like a young Russell Wilson in the 1st half. What took so long to make adjustments?
This is the issue with brand new coaches that never coached at their level before, they make mistakes too, and it just takes time to iron them out. Hopefully, they get this shit ironed out soon, and win games. But if you thought just having Wilson was going to solve all our problems over night, you are sorely mistaken.

Anyone else catch that, or am I imagining it...?
Was watching the Peyton/Peyton broadcast on ESPN....but if that is true?!? How damned ******ed is that game prep. Also, the slow play calling killed the team all night. How many times was the ball snapped right at 1 sec

George Paton is best friends with Dan Quinn and chose not to hire him. Maybe Hackett is an airhead but you’re off base here.

I would think if that was true, Russell would have insisted on it. Wouldn’t he?
I had the Broncos going 3-1 in first 4 games. I’m mathematically still in it. I just thought they would lose to the 49ers. Lance looked horrible, so maybe we have a chance in that one.
