    So many questions will be answered in one game tomorrow

    I know ridiculous to say that, but that is what we pretty much know. We've been thirsting for effective consistent QB play since around the 8th game of the 2014 season.

    We'll know if Russell Wilson is effective enough by the end of the first quarter tomorrow night.

    There are many questions going to be answered in ONE GAME. Why? Cause the Seahawks are pretty much tanking. They are. Its obvious. Not some conspiracy crap.

    What, you think they think Geno Smith or Lock might be the answer. It's a tank race between the Hawks, Falcons and Texans for the first pick.

    So, if the Broncos don't win decisively tomorrow....that's our answer. That's our answer period.

    Dramatic and ridiculous? You know it isn't deep down.

      Tomorrow won't say a whole lot about anything. It will be a slow start just like every team today( outside the Eagles and Queefs) and fans will overreact. Denver just needs to get in and out with a win regardless of score. Hopefully they don't take any season ending injuries. You will hear people blame the preseason approach but fail to mention other teams that took different approaches had similar reults.

        Agreed. I think we’ll look sloppy tomorrow, but should escape with a win. If we actually steamroll them, I’ll be very impressed.

          We got a real QB and Weapons and Javonte Williams.

          Right now... We got hope, but this year that hope is based on actual facts.

            i’m excited to see what Jerry Jeudy looks like.

            Bad teams don’t know they are bad yet.

            Not too worried, even if it's close. Heck.. even if we lose. Russ will be good, he isn't going to be magically worse on a new teams. But new system, new coordinators, new HC, new teammates. Sure it could start slowly. If so, not reading loads into it.

                  I'm interested to see how it goes as well....but I would even say you won't really know a whole lot.

                  Aaron Rodgers didn't light the world on fire his first year with Hackett....and that was with dudes he'd played with, and for the most part a veteran, experienced group. As stated by many others, new coaches all the way around, alot of new players, new system for everyone, new QB, and so on.

                  The one thing I disagree with from the original poster....I do not think Seattle is "tanking". I really think Pete believes in his formula and that what they are doing is in an effort to absolutely win...today, next week and every game. I do think Seattles roster is lacking, but they aren't "tanking".

                    I think the Texans are happy with Mills and the Seahawks wanted Jimmy G but didn't want to give up draft capital.

                        Now, if It is the opposite and they move consistently, that would also answer things.

                        When good teams beat the teams handily that they are supposed to, that is a very good sign.

                        You know how I knew the hire of Mike Shanahan was a great hire? It was the first half of the very first opening game against the Bills in 1995.

                        That's an example. I think there is a lot of optimism as there should be. We should know quite fast how this team will be looking.

                          Where's the middle ground between "win handily" and "multiple 3 and outs?" It's likely the Broncos could win by a score or two in a sloppy game and still have a great year. It's the NFL in week 1 with a new coach.

                            There is nothing definitive to be learned from the first game of the season with a new coaching staff, new ownership, and a bunch of new players.

                              Well, maybe we will learn if Hackett will be aggressive with the offense, Maybe Ejiro will be tentative with D calling? I don;t expect the latter, but I need to see the O play with a will to win. Isn;t that the point?

                            The Seahawks have made it somewhat clear that they are tanking. I think that Stroud QB is the top QB prospect.

                            Talent wise and expectations should mean the Broncos win handily. If they are sloppy and cannot move the ball consistently and they have eek out a win it will be a bad season.

                              Falcons and Texans didn't look bad yesterday. I think this game tells us more about our receivers than anything else. It's an unproven group with loads of potential. JJ can get open, but can he catch the dam thing. I'm not so sure about CS either. His separation last year sucked. TE is also a big question mark.

                                The first half will be emotional and sloppy, but we'll have a small lead heading into halftime.

                                The gap widens in the second half, but any win is a good win in front of this crowd. I'm as interested to see some creative play calling, and good clock management from this coaching staff. That will make me feel much better about the season.

                                On paper, our defense should be able to crush this team, but we haven't seen this group in live action. So, once again, I expect the first half to have some mistakes on our part but I still expect the W.

                                  Bingo. Play calling will be key, IMO. The Oline's ability to slow their rush down will be important. Will Williams pick up where he left off? Flash?

                                    Why on earth would you think our defensive front is weak? This might be one of the strongest units we've ever seen (if healthy). I mean, this group is actually extremely powerful and physically gifted.

                                    Dremont Jones, DJ Jones, DeShawn Williams in the middle, bookended by Chubb and Gregory is a stacked line. Griffith is a 250lb LB and Singleton is 240lbs and led the Eagles in tackles last year. He may not be great on coverage, but he's a stout tackler.

                                    This is NOT a weak group. They are literally going to tee off on the Seahawks line tonight. They may get out of position schematically, but they won't get pushed around, I'm 100% sure of that.

                                        Manning was coming off severe surgery. Wilson is healthy.


                                        there’s no more excuses. Either you win and compete or you lose and continue to be bottom dwellers in the west and league itself. Seattle is a trainwreck. If broncos can’t beat them don’t even bother showing up against the chiefs and chargers.

                                        most posters who predicted 10+ wins are counting this game as a W. If it’s a loss it’s already a huge hole to climb out of.
