  • Damani Leech, Team President

  • #2
He obviously was on the books yesterday, but they wanted him to have his own day which is cool. I know nothing about him, but will soon.

I understand Peyton not being interested in this role because it's a business-oriented position like Joe Ellis used to have, not a president of football operations.

Sounds like he has a lot of experience.

"Damani is highly regarded throughout the National Football League for his leadership, strategic vision and collaborative spirit. As a former college player with executive experience at both the NFL and NCAA levels, Damani understands the value of teamwork and knows what it takes to win—on and off the field. Most importantly, he leads with integrity, empathy and respect. I'm confident Damani will help the Broncos grow across all areas of our business and make our staff, partners and fans proud of this organization."

A rising executive with the NFL since 2015, Leech spent the previous eight years in leadership positions at the league office with a key role in growing the game internationally as well as through business development and strategy initiatives. He joined the NFL after more than 17 years of experience at the NCAA national office in Indianapolis.
        Let's go, Damani Leech!

How long is Elway still on the payroll? Does anyone know?

His contract expired last year, sounds like his current gig is a year-to-year thing.

For a moment there, I thought he was Vance Johnson.

Don’t let him anywhere near the draft room and he’ll be alright.

But qbronco he’s just discovered an extremely raw athlete with zero football instincts and zero intelligence. Don’t you want to take him on Day 2? He’ll be great here!

I loved John Elway the quarterback. John Elway the GM? Not so much.

Get to know the Broncos new President. To be sure, he made it clear in his PC today that he’s on the business side only, and will not meddle. Very impressive guy.

If you have 20 mins, here is his full PC. Like I said, very impressive guy. I am getting a really good & comfortable feeling about him and the entire ownership group.

Leech sounds whip-smart. He's gonna be a huge upgrade over Joe Ellis at that position.

Speaking of the new Broncos management, I think they can heal one part of our great divide:
                                  .
Liberal or conservative ... Democrat or Republican .... we can ALL agree we like one of these arch-conservative former lightning rods:
