  • 300 Million Fully Guaranteed (Wilson wants it now) Not Next Year!

    The word is out...

Out at Training camp today was Wilsons agent. The first day the ownership is in business.

Russ wants the bag now, not next year. Too much to lose, leverage is too high now.

60 Million a year Fully Guaranteed.

This will be the hardest part for George Paton...This contract will completely destroy our roster construction if done poorly.

This contract will need to be structured precisely for the team to remain competitive.

All eyes on the Owners and Paton to orchestrate this properly...

I thought you were positive it was a 5-year deal @ $280 million.

    Contract inflation!

I will gladly eat crow if I'm wrong, but from the get-go (once he was acquired) I didn't envision the Broncos throwing the bank at him until they see how he performs this season.

I’ve just been told by my Dove Valley sources the price is now 350 million.

I don’t usually read or at least quickly forget wolf’s inside scoops. Does he ever hit on them?

2 1sts and 2 nds is a lot to give up if they wait to see how he performs. If it’s not good I still can’t see them moving on..too much invested. I think they have the long term plan approach and we’re waiting until new ownership is settled in.

I doubt Lamar without any representation is going to reset the market in any meaningful way. The timeline to beat is when Herbert and Burrow become eligible.

300 million was shared on the Fan today by Zach V. While he was talking about it on air...Patton and Wilsons people met near the practice field.

It went up 50M along with the guaranteed amount. 50M per year. To 60M per year.

What changed between the time in June till today? Kyler Murray’s contract.

Can they do contracts as percentage of the cap? I could see something like that if it is allowed until the total compensation is reached.

QBs make roughly 20 percent of a team's cap on average.

....If I had been around in 2012, I would have been a pissed off Chiefs fan....bemoning that KC wasn't able to sign Manning and Denver got him. Manning was never a QB who was ever questioned about cultivating an image, never was a "look at me!" guy....kept his private life private...and sure, the neck injury thing was a risk....but since Manning wasn't a QB that relied on his legs at all, and still had all of his arm left, you already had Dr.'s clearing him....wich is why alot of TEAMS were courting him. ...not to say there weren't many also courting Wilson...but it's not the same. I was pissed off Manning ended up in Denver. I was pissed my team had Scott Pioli and Matt Cassel.
