  • Tim Patrick

What is going on an Broncos training camp? I just heard a quick report that Tim Patrick is not able to put weight on his right leg as he’s being carted off the practice field? Anybody have any info?

  • #2
The info is in the training camp thread.

Well if he was carted off that just can't be good. The injury bug this team has is nuts. We replaced the Greek right ?

I saw the story this morning and threw up my coffee. Injuries stink. If this is a bad injury Juedy is going to have step up big time.

Should the Broncos bring Will Fuller in for a tryout? I know he has red flags, but when healthy he is a decent WR.

We are loaded at WR. No need to bring anyone in.

Jeudy moves up to WR2, Hamler gets the Slot. Williams, Hinton, and Cleveland as back ups. Still pretty good, hopefully Tim is back by the playoff push part of the season. But these fellas plus the TEs should be able to step up.

Ok, I am slowly backing away from the ledge.

Yeah, Monkey... I like Williams. He may prove out to be very good.

And Hinton makes the few hard plays he has been asked to make as a WR.
His QB history means he knows where to duck sideways to give the QB more of a chance. He's not a guy that can out match dudes on a 50-50 ball like Sutton or Patrick, but his thing that makes him a good back up WR is a good thing... and in that light he can be counted on as long as one uses him properly. But even if he's just out there, it's not bad. Last year he sensed the desperation from our QB and put himself in the best places to allow an unplanned emergency dump off to him. He's extremely good at helping the QB on broken plays.

Cleveland has potential and he should have fire under his ass to prove himself.

As long as Jeudy and Hamler and Williams can take the brunt of the blow that is Patrick being out, Broncos will be good.
We should have 3 viable TEs that can jump out to slot routes if needed too, and all three of our main RBs can catch. Boone can probably line up out of the slot and be productive.

I see Jeudy dusting his CB so many times his side gets a safety lean or they go with two high. Then you add Sutton threat on the otherside, and they definitely go 2 high. Then you get Hamler hitting 23mph and dusting the slot CB. Suddenly Williams gets a block on the big boys and one LB to smash before he hits the race gear.

We still scary as all get out with even middle of the pack QB play. I expect top ten QB play.

And in the long run it might have a silver cloud in that hopefully Patrick will come back healthy toward the middle or end of the season when he will be needed more.

lmao. You think that’s the only WR who will go down for the year before week 1 starts?

need to bring in multiple WRs now cause Sutton or Jeudy going to get the same thing soon.

Hahaha... Man I was trying to be positive and ignore our patterns. But there is no denial possible.

Broncos get bruises in Camp and preseason like they are anemic.
It's a long time before Sept. Math is hard on that situation.

Maybe it will be a series of PS guys only after this?

It’s just how it works with Denver. IR gets filled before we even see games every year.

Even if he doesn't like Sutton. Sanders would probably come to the Broncos with good coaches and new owners and new GM.

Patricks already 28? Yikes, kind of just secretly ruined his career. At least he got paid.

It is a massive loss to the team. WR's are more important now than ever before. TP was probably your most consistent player over the past handful of years. Sorry for your luck.

Often injured and a contractual mistake. He's a great player when on the field. He's just not on the field that much plus shitty QBs. This blows.

What the hell? Tim Patrick played 31 of 33 possible games the last two seasons....

Contract wise, his stats the last two years are nearly identical to Christian Kirk's. Kirk got a 4-year, $72 million contract, while Paton signed Patrick to a 3-year $34 million contract. He's also a great team player that's beloved by everyone else in the locker room -- not sure where you're getting the "contractual mistake" notion...

Big blow.. very consistent player. Hard to replace him.
                                  Hopefully, others will step up.

                                      1 Sutton
                                      2. Juedy
                                      3. Hamler
                                      4/5 Hinton/Seth Williams
                                      6/7 Tyrie cleveland/Montrell.

Cleveland and Montrell are making this team for ST’s alone. Looks like Seth Williams is first man out.
