this will help the Offensive line, less all out blitz, now we are playing chess, not checkers.

play a light box and Javonte will eat up the smaller defenders. hell normal LBer ride on his back for 10 yards

          DBs have zero chance

It's going to open things up for our running backs.

              Warren is awesome.

man look at the scores in those games. Games are over minutes into the contest.

This , it makes everything better. We have JW at running back now. He was a god damned monster with no threat down field. I don't know how they are going to cover Patrick and Sutton on the deep routes and JJ or any of the TE in the mid field yet still have to stack the box to try and stop J.W. Bottom line it should be a very very good year.

Only thing that worries me is the Oline holding up long enough to give Russ time for the deep ball. I’m not convinced they have a solid five up front.

If they are really committed to shanny style of WCO/outside zone with a lot of PA then the line should be fine.

                      He better be.

it sounds like Montrell Washington already has a roster spot, so KJ is going to need to prove his worth this year. It might come down to which of these two little guys can stay healthy.

I'm all for developing Washington and trading Hamler for picks.

To the OP: It is really frustrating to see a QB who can just fling it downfield at will but manages to fling it...at no one. A very long time ago some poster on some board brought up the idea of a 'sight' QB and it stuck in my head. That is, a QB who throws based on what he sees at the time and doesn't use any anticipation. That's Lock.

Fair take based on Locks time as a Bronco and his college tape.

                          IIRC

remember the last play against Cincy last year, desperation throw he threw almost sideways and out of bounds.

heave that sucker up and hope to get a PI call like Locks first game of his career against Chargers

This is going to be fun. We really are stacked.

I hope this coaching staff follows what Kubiak did and allegedly learned in Baltimore…. Roll in backups. Use the entire roster. With a 17 game season, every single snap is a chance of injury. If you can reduce snaps by 5-10% you can reduce injury by 5-10%. It also truly lets you know what you have in young guys. Trial by fire.

Look at the time Lock had in most of those long passes... Give Russ that kind of time good things will happen!

Its been almost seven years (since Manning fell of a cliff during the 2015 early season) since we had a QB that could really challenge with the deep ball. This is going to really open up the offense.
