  • Did Lock insult Fangio's Mother?

The claim is that Teddy won a very closes QB competition that came down to the wire. If that is the case, when Teddy is obviously looking pretty banged up, as he was in the first half of the Browns game, why wouldn't you elect to bring in your Back up QB. That is what a back up QB is for. I'm not claiming that Lock should be the QB1. But when your QB1 is obviously struggling with injuries and it is affecting his ability to move in the pocket and your QB2 supposedly lost a very close competition, why in god's name wouldn't you go to your backup and give the QB1 a chance to get healthy?

My only answer, Lock has somehow completely burned his bridges with the current coaching staff.

    It’s bias.

Fangio is just wanting 9 wins to save his job and he typically plays vets.

Paton was in on TBW being drafted, and Si his preference is for him as well.

Many commentators out there saying we should be starting Lock. I agree. Teddy is hurt, not playing well overall and we should go with the the younger player and upside.

I'm not saying Lock should be our starting QB. I'm saying he is our backup and our starting QB looks hurt. That is when you play your backup.

I was just commenting on this in another thread. It's very strange that your starting Qb literally hobbles out on the field before the game starts. He still goes onto play. He goes what 58 yards , no Td's and one int. in the first half. The team is falling apart around him. Yet you come out after half and still don't play your back up QB that is arguably the same as your starter just at a 100 percent not injured ??

There is something personal here. I said in the gameday thread and I will say it here as well. The only way lock see's the field this year is if Teddy goes down during a game. Lock will finish the game but the broncos will pick up someone else before the next game.

This goes way beyond player ability. This is personal .

Fangio hitched his wagon to TBW and Shurmur, and they have lead that wagon of a cliff. They are all going to be gone next year, hopefully by the bye.

As I’ve been saying for a while now, I think a big part of it was the locker room. I think the players supported and rallied around TB. And that helped make the coaches’ decision for them. But I think it’s time to give Lock another shot now.

Our defense isn't anywhere near playoff caliber. They actually suck. So does our OL.

Maybe they will this week. But why? It’s a good question. I think they really, really don’t believe in Drew Lock. That much is apparent.

It’s cause the coaching staff couldn’t evaluate a HOFer from a turd. They are lost.

Every week they are outcoached…even by the dysfunction raiders staff. Can’t be surprised they screw up every level.

I agree. Teddy will have to get hurt for Lock to get another shot. Several writers are seeing it’s time for Lock.

I figured the only reason Lock was still on the team was for morale purposes.

Bias can cloud a proper evaluation.

I like Teddy a lot, but it’s clear he’s hurt. With our line & coaching I’ve been hoping his knee doesn’t take another hit.

I was thinking of referencing that meme, but unsure if enough people would still remember it.

It can, but I’m not sure why they’d be biased. If you’re referring primarily to Paton, he’s not making the call on who plays.

An incredibly close QB competition suggests interchangeable players. This isn’t elimination round playoff game type stuff….so if you’re guy is hurt and his play is limited because of it, then healthy guy should play thereby increasing your win chances…. If you were being honest about the competition and quality of it.

Fangio prefers vets, it’s not just at the QB spot. I think that is hurt us. We have some great young players.

I’m not sure he does. He pulled his vet chicago buddy Fuller for a rookie.

it’s pretty evident they don’t like Lock. It’s also pretty stupid to go through the offseason pretending they did.

Something ain’t right with the Lock situation. I thought he was going in second half vs Browns.

People unattached to Broncos are wondering why we are starting an injured QB.

Teddy is a seasoned vet. Lock has maybe 18 starts.
