his interview after the game he said there were no signs teddy was struggling when even stevie wonder could see how immobile he was pre game... my question is
is fangio ..
‘you think holding (defense) to 17 points would be good enough’
Several issues with that very telling statement.
You are the head coach. That responsibility includes the whole team.
You started the game out giving up 10 of those points. Your defense is making a habit of this every game now. It sets the tone.
You got killed in time of possession. You aren’t getting turnovers for your offense, and you give up so much field position in your bend but don’t break defense that the offense is often in the shadow of their own goal line.
On offense, you chose TBW. He’s a veteran that you know exactly how he’s going to play. You wanted low turnovers. You are turning the ball over at a high rate. He’s injured.
I could go on, but why???
Season is over. Time to fire Fangio. Put Munchie in charge. Fire Shurmur. Start Lock.
Time for an actual owner for direction & accountability. Figure out how to get a franchise QB.
He's not wrong if you hold a team to 17 points, and you have a semi competent offense that shows up more than is 4th quarter garbage time, you should win more games than you lose...
Teddy moved around okay last night. He isn't the most athletic QB either way, but he did move away from pressure well.
Overall the team gets off to very slow starts, gets behind and only seems to respond when a game is unlikely to be one due to possessions/ clock.
We are reliable only to give up 7 point to start a game...
I still come back to "YES" as an answer to the OP. If I understand Fangio when he speaks (I think he mumbles a bit), he is just mouthing the PR lines. When asked if he'd considered a QB changed at the half, he was brisk and short with his answer: "I did not." There is much more to the story, I think, and, frankly, I am not at all a fan of his. Something is wrong with him. I don't mean he is defective, but he sure ain't happy, and seems not to have a clue as to how to fix it.

When you give up a TD in the first drive, and are only capable of scoring 1 TD through the first 3 quarters, it doesn't typically bode well for your chances that game
Losing the LBs over the past couple of weeks did not help the run D, obviously. But the D plan seemed absolutely foreign to the entire secondary. The D collapsed. The Oline seemed to be quite inept.
