  • It’s on Paton now

Vic is clearly lost. He is NOT a defensive genius. Way overrated.

Fire him. We have a long break now. He’s officially below .500

    Fire Shurmur.

Take some action. Something Vic failed to do.

I’m not a Fangio apologist and want him gone. That said, I don’t think our defensive issues are all on him. I think there are talent issues and injury issues that are compounding things greatly. Aikman made the comment last night that this team can’t generate pressure without bringing extra rushers, which exposes the back end and puts more pressure on the DB’s. We just don’t have enough talent up front on D. And without both Jewell and Johnson our run D is lost.

As for Paton, his FA acquisitions this season don’t have me brimming with confidence that he’s our savior.

this defense is the highest paid in the league

denver scores then clev follows that up with a score.

lot of blame to go around but i go back to our LBers being run over by Keasum and watching Fant fail to break a tackle to get the extra yard a couple times

these players have no intestinal fortitude

3 drafted players played well last night and add Sterns who has made his way into playing time

id say very good to great draft if you have 4 players playing major time.

A whole offseason & TBW + 3 easy teams got us off to 3-0. Film. Now, Fangio and crew are done. If a drastic change isn’t made then we may not win again this year. Maybe that’s a good thing.

Too bad none of the current NCAA quarterbacks are worth tanking for.

Paton will likely be a great drafting GM. Scouting is his specialty. This is on Ellis & having no true ownership. This is where many owners would step in and fire. This season is over for us. Leaving Fangio in place means that he will play TBW until he’s broken. Then Lock will be thrown to the sharks.

Fangio and Shurmur should be fired. Probably special teams as well, but I’m not sure if that can be handled in house.

Teams like Jacksonville tank multiple years, lol

Keep drafting high for a bit. Look at AZ. Make a bold move for a coach & QB. Look at Buffalo.

People never no what the QBs will be like in the league. They need to find one they like, fits the system they want to use and move aggressive to go get one. If they fail they need to do it again.

I’m not going to blame Paton for the free agent signings as I’m sure Fangio had a lot of input. The draft picks seem to be our only bright spots.

There's no GM in the world that can fix this mess in a few months.

                            You all are ridiculous.

No, Paton cannot fix this mess this year. But he needs to be doing his due diligence on who our next head coach and and their staff will be.

I don’t think that’s what is being said.

First of all, if you take no action what does that say to the team and fans? That’s it’s okay. It’s not okay. It’s clearly not getting better.

Are there GM level things that can be done to make us better in the future?

                                      Yes.

Trade players for choices. It’s time to do that. We are not a contender. Can we do that as easily with Vic still leading? No.

Start Lock. We all know what TBW is. Vic will ride that decision until he breaks Teddy. It’s better to let Lock play.

Let someone more aggressive call the D. Same for the offense.

Having Vic ride this team quit and ride it into the dirt will be destructive. If we had an owner this would never happen.

Doing nothing is a huge problem right now.

What major change with a 4 game losing streak is Fangio willing to make?

Nothing. Same everything from QB to play calling, etc

‘We need to play better & coach better’

But, nothing changes. Definition of insanity.

This, I have stood up for Fangio. After last weak I started to question him. Last night though?? You have a hurt QB playing like shit and you don't pull him? Even if you have a hard on for Lock put in Rypien . Do something. Also on that note. For being a defensive guru you think you would be able to come up with something by the end of the game to stop their 3rd sting RB. He needs to go and go yesterday.

Yes, because finding a great HC is easy peasy, right? In the middle of the season, right?

It’s not. Neither is finding a franchise QB.

Let me ask you a question. By firing Fangio and hiring literally anyone else. Do you really think we would play any worse ? I don't think do.
