Does it depend on ownership?
Whoever it is they will be our Red Adair for sure.. My thoughts its going to be throwing everything at rodgers in a desperate manning regeneration
Very good question. Trade or FA probably most likely, followed by draft. Lock will still be under contract so I suppose he’s still a possibility as well. In other words, I have no idea.
If we hit the halfway mark at 3-5 I would let Lock start the rest of the season as the final interview. If we win 5 or fewer, draft a QB. Otherwise go after Rodgers and an offensive minded coach.

Lock will get more playing time. TBW won’t stay healthy through the season.
Where as I was certain (and correct) that Rodgers wouldn't be your QB in 2021.....I think he's the obvious candidate for 2022.
1. The Broncos easy schedule is going to put you guys into the late teens or early 20's, in a draft year that as now (alot can change) appears to have a small number of less than awesome prospects at QB
2. For the millionth time......Paton took the job because he got a SIX year deal, knowing 2021 was going to be a throwaway. barring a miracle playoff run, assuming you get that far...there is no way this staff or this QB group is around or in the plans for 2022. Paton will clean the house, and bring in his own people. Given the realities mentioned above, Paton will be looking at Rodgers and you best believe the new coach will be a Rodgers approved candidate.
3. Rodgers got what he wanted out of his negotiations this offseason...the Pack got Rodgers for 2021, and Rodgers got his freedom for 2022. He didn't do that for nothing.
4. Like Manning, Rodgers brings instant cred, and instant expectations, and an instant culture change.
5. The Broncos have plenty of cap to take on Rodgers and the O line upgrades he will demand/expect.
From Rodgers point of view -
While the Broncos will have some roster churn on D, especialy the secondary, the offense is pretty ready made for a good QB...needs some line upgrades...but that can be done. New Coach will be a Rodgers guy. Also that chick he's banging as you all know, is from Boulder.
Other teams that probalby are not as appealing.... Giants...will be looking to move on from Jones...roster not nearly as good, and total rebuild needed.
Houston. Total mess...no hope of winning, bad roster.
Miami. Somewhat appealing but Rodgers problaby not inclined to want in on that GM/Coach rift going on, plus that coach isn't his guy. Watson is Miami target.
Indy - Not quite the roster on offense Denver has...team has shied away from spending big on FA.
Pittsburg - Good defense. O line isn't that good and team typically doesn't spend big on FA, but good coach and some good pieces.
Washington - too much of a shitshow to be a top destination.
Clearly Denver is the leader in the clubhouse.
Some other considerations, that won't make an impact in his decsion, but are consideratoins anyhow....
AFC West QB's
Mahomes, Herbert, Carr. Not an easy division to win...but recent influx of QB talent, especially in the AFC, makes AFC divisions except AFC south, harder. If Rodgers wanted to remain in a divison with lesser QB talent, he could stay in GB.
In reality, Rodgers isn't bothered or scared by other QB.
Rodgers would make Denver an instant SB contender for as long as he has gas in the tank....I think there's at least 2 more years if not not more.

Easiest part of the schedule is done, the remaining schedule is actually fairly difficult. This team will max out at about 7 wins and could possibly win as few as 5. In other words, the Broncos could draft in the top 10.
And Rodgers probably won’t happen but I suppose it’s possible. It’s going to take a trade to get him and how much do you give up for a 39 year old?

Yeah Manning did, even had the best year of his career and made Denver the highest scoring O in history. Take a look at SB 43. #1 O against the #1 D. We know how that generally turns out and it did. And you only have 1 sentence regarding the D. Sure Rodgers would love that. Actually I really like you and your organization being so blind to that fact.
Teams that could be in the market for a QB this offseason (and the dumb article omits the Broncos):
Carolina
Detroit
Pittsburgh
Washington
Atlanta
Houston
Miami
NY Giants
Philadelphia
New Orleans
Seattle
Tampa
I voted for Rodgers, but honestly, or team is such a mess right now it might be a hard sell to convince him. We will likely have to dangle the option of being involved in the coaching hires to have a chance at landing him.
Going crazy here… Ryan Fitzpatrick. No team without a FQB is quite complete without a season of Fitzmagic…
I highly doubt Rodgers want to come to an organization is disarray. Unless he had say on whom was brought in on offense.
lock, tbw and who gives a shit are all equal options right now…
Honestly, It is kind of weird that Fitzpatrick hasn't already played for the Broncos already. So yeah, I could totally see him being brought in as another stop gap measure.

That's likely the rumor Allbright was citing but refused to source.
To the extent it’s even possible, I have mixed feelings. I’m not really feeling it with Tua. That said, if you can get him for less than a 1 is he a better gamble than anyone in the upcoming draft? Particularly considering the fact that you may not have a good shot at getting any of them?

It would seal our status as sad mediocre organization…. It would be exciting… for a few games at least…
