      When you are rich…..this kind of thing stings even more.

                      Yah, that was just a bone headed move by Elway. Seriously, that was just an dumb, dumb, dumb... Bowlen was giving Elway a money tree bonanza plus a way out of the deal and an additional $5m in cash.

                      Wow, just wow. Now the team has sold for $4.5billion and if Elway had taken the Bowlen deal he'd be sitting on $900m...

                          But I thought the NFL blocked him because they wouldn't allow a player to be an owner.

                                Yeah. That's exactly how I heard it. Dude had right of first refusal and threatened a law suit against the NFL and the Broncos. And the NFL put the kybosh on the whole situation before it could get off the ground.
